Celebrating 46 Years of Compassionate Patient Care

The physicians at the Virginia Division of National Spine & Pain Centers are pleased to announce that the practice is celebrating its 46th anniversary as a pillar of the medical community.

“From its inception, National Spine and Pain Centers has been at the forefront of all aspects of pain management. We have become the leaders in diagnoses and non-surgical treatment of spine and musculoskeletal disorders incorporating the best of pharmacotherapeutics and interventional pain procedures on behalf of our patients,” says Dr. Abraham Cherrick.

Originally known as the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of Northern Virginia, the practice opened its first office in 1972 in the Bailey’s Crossroads section of Falls Church, Virginia. In 1983, Dr. Mayo Friedlis and Dr. Abraham Cherrick joined and began to focus the entire practice on the diagnosis and treatment of acute & chronic musculoskeletal pain disorders.

Today, National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC) is one of the largest pain management practices in the U.S. operating in over 70 pain centers across Virginia, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Washington DC, and West Virginia. NSPC is home to more than 70 of the country’s top pain management specialists, all of whom share in our long-standing philosophy of timely, compassionate and personalized patient care.
