Considered by many as an epicenter for continuing education, National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC) recently hosted a workshop for physicians interested in advanced interventional procedures for pain management. Dr. Dan Kendall, one of NSPC’s most seasoned clinicians, instructed and proctored attendees through a host of sophisticated, non-surgical procedures for pain management as well as specific techniques involved with Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS). The seminar and workshop was conducted at NSPC’s Fairfax office on Saturday November 13th with support from Boston Scientific Neuromodulation.

Dr. Kendall joined NSPC in 2004 after completing a fellowship in interventional pain management at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. A respected leader among his colleagues, Dr. Kendall was elected Chief Fellow and ultimately served as a clinical instructor at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has published articles and lectured nationally on a wide range of interventional pain management topics, including the use of spinal cord stimulation, thermal annuloplasty, and radiofrequency rhizotomy in treating back pain, as well as pharmacological approaches to chronic pain. He serves on the National Physician Advisory Board for Advanced Bionics as a thought leader on best practices for SCS technology in clinical medicine.
