Dr. de Lara joined National Spine & Pain Centers in 2012. He was born in the Philippines and raised in the suburbs of northern New Jersey. The child of immigrant parents, he has a deep-rooted appreciation for the American Dream and desire to contribute to society, both of which have fueled his career in medicine.
He is a graduate of Rutgers University and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where he attended the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and served as Chief Resident during his Anesthesiology Residency. Dr. de Lara completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the NJ Pain Institute of UMDNJ.

Dr. de Lara believes successful pain management begins with treating every patient as unique. He enjoys spending time with his family, exercising and playing tennis.

From you first walk in the girls are ver friendly. When you go in the nurse is very kind, and the Dr. is an excellent Dr who explains everything in detail what his proceedure will be.

Dr. DeLara and his staff are fantastic. I have been suffering with chronic, severe intractable anal/rectal pain that I have been suffering with for 4 years caused by a damaged Pudendal Nerve. Dr. DeLara did a pain pump trial which was greatly successful. Now I will have a permanent pain pump installed, which I believe will give me back my life. I have been to MANY pain management doctors. Dr. DeLara is by far the best I have ever been treated by. I HIGHLY recommend him!
