Your First Visit

Do you have questions about your upcoming visit at the Spine Center of Southeast Georgia serving Kingsland and Brunswick, GA? Our FAQs section is designed to answer your questions and ease any concerns you may have!

What types of pain do you treat?

Our team treats a variety of acute, chronic, and intractable pain. Currently, we treat all pain problems from head to toe.

How soon can I get an appointment?

Depending on the severity of your problem, we can accommodate a new patient appointment within a few days. If your referring physician would like you evaluated quickly, every attempt is made to schedule your appointment within 24 hours of receiving the physician referral.

What can I expect for my first visit?

You can expect a very thorough, comprehensive, and complete consultation with one of our providers. They will take the necessary time to discuss your medical history, previous treatment, complete an examination, and discuss the best course of treatment for YOU! Refilling or prescribing narcotics will not usually take place on the first visit.

Do you accept my insurance?

We are in-network providers for many insurance plans, such as BCBS, United Healthcare, CIGNA, Humana, Medicare, and Tricare. The best advice is to contact your insurance company to be sure we are listed in your in-network provider directory. Feel free to ask questions when scheduling an appointment with our new patient coordinator.

Are you a Medicaid provider?

No, we do not participate with the Medicaid program at this time but offer financial need assistance for those with Medicaid as secondary insurance. Contact the billing department for information.

Do you accept “self-pay,” or patients without health insurance?

Yes, we work out an affordable payment plan and provide prompt payment discounts.

I’ve had injections by other doctors and they didn’t work for me. Why would they be any better at your office?

Our physicians completed extensive training and special fellowships for interventional pain medicine. All of our physicians are double board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties. After a thorough examination, specialized tests, and a review of your previous medical history, we can develop an accurate diagnosis to treat your specific problem. We provide the right diagnosis, and the right treatment at the right time for the right patient. We are sure you will find our approach to your pain as individual as you are. Our goal is to reduce or eliminate your pain, and to help restore function and mobility.

If you’re ready to see what the Spine Center of Southeast Georgia can do to help you overcome your pain and regain your quality of life, we encourage you to call us to schedule an appointment.
