Pedro M. Ramirez, MD, FANS, FCNS, is a board-certified neurosurgeon.
Dr. Ramirez completed his medical education at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru, followed by a general surgery training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.
He completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of New Mexico.
He is trained in General Neurosurgery and Critical Care and has an enfolded fellowship in Spine Surgery. Dr. Ramirez has received the "UNM Neuroscience" Award for resident research. He has been published in peer-review journals and has lectured nationally and internationally in neurosurgical forums. He has written book chapters such as Neurosurgery Knowledge Update: Brain Abscess.
Dr. Ramirez specializes in Complex and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Pain and Neuromodulation. He has a special interest in Sacro-Iliac joint dysfunction and development of technology. He has trained younger neurosurgeons and continues to educate newer generations of physicians.
