Joni Brown

Joni Brown, ACNP-C, retired after a 20-year career with UF, where she spent the last decade working in chronic pain and addiction medicine. Even after retiring, she realized she still wanted to stay active in the field she loves. She is a Master’s-prepared Nurse Practitioner with a post-Master’s certification in Acute Care and spent 10 years as an acute-care hospitalist before returning to chronic pain management. Her introduction to this specialty began 25 years ago as an OR nurse at Shands. Today, she continues to enjoy caring for this patient population and values every opportunity to help improve her patients’ lives.
