Candy F. Suarez

Candy Faviola Suarez, PA-C, earned her Master of Health Sciences from the Physician Assistant Program at Duke University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia. She has worked in the field of pain management since 2014 and is especially passionate about advanced treatment technologies, including neuromodulation, spinal cord stimulation, and minimally invasive procedures that offer patients new opportunities for meaningful relief. Candy’s commitment to medicine began during her service as a Peace Corps volunteer in a health clinic in Guatemala, where she discovered the profound impact that accessible and compassionate care can have on a community. In her practice, Candy works closely with Dr. Ketan Patel to understand each patient’s goals and develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term function, comfort, and quality of life. She values collaborative relationships and strives to empower every patient with education, guidance, and encouragement throughout their treatment journey. Born in Bolivia and raised in the United States from age five, Candy is fluent in Spanish and is proud to provide culturally attuned care to diverse patient populations. Outside of work, she enjoys Latin dancing, traveling, and watching her three children compete on the soccer field. She recently completed a memorable trek to Machu Picchu in Peru, reflecting her love of exploration and adventure. Candy is board certified as a Physician Assistant and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
