Elston Greene, a law enforcement professional, first came to National Spine & Pain Centers in April, 2009, at the suggestion of another physician. Mr. Greene had contracted lyme disease, which had caused joint damage, inflammation and pain in his knee, elbow and ankle.
Mr. Greene was examined by a National Spine & Pain Centers physician who suggested a protocol of platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections to treat his ever-worsening condition. After a series of three PRP injections, Mr. Green noticed a significant improvement – far less pain and far greater mobility in the affected areas.
Mr. Greene has been impressed by the care he has received. “When I first met him, the doctor made no promises about my recovery, but he promised to try his hardest to make me better.”
As Mr. Greene continued to improve, he noticed something rare. “The look of joy on the doctor’s face matched mine. The passion he has for his life’s work and the pride he displayed as he saw me getting better was exciting.”
Mr. Greene has turned the corner on his road to recovery and is a firm believer in both the science and compassion evident at National Spine & Pain Centers.
