"I feel like I owe so much to them for all they've done."

Lori M. is a typical young mom: vibrant, playful and full of love for her young daughter, Mary Michael. She's also a chronic pain patient.

Several years ago, a freak accident changed her life. Someone accidentally dropped a large serving tray stacked with ceramic dishes on her head, causing severe injury to her cervical spine.

"Once the accident occurred, my life stopped," Lori said. "I was in excruciating pain, day-in and day-out."

After years of searching for any sort of relief, she finally found help at Comprehensive Pain & Rehabilitation, an affiliate of National Spine & Pain Centers.

The affiliated providers at Comprehensive Pain & Rehabilitation quickly realized Lori’s case didn’t fit any of the more traditional pathologies for chronic pain, but that did not stop them from finding a solution that worked for her.

Today, Lori has gone from a woman who couldn’t go grocery shopping because of her pain to being able to resume a normal life, managing her pain, and enjoying her daughter, who she calls "the light of her life."

“The staff at Comprehensive Pain & Rehab were able to begin to control my pain so that I could eventually be a mother. And I feel like I owe so much to them for all they've done,” Lori said. “My gratitude is just so heartfelt."
