National Spine & Pain Centers Welcomes Dr. Paul Kuzma and the Advanced Medical Group Team!

NSPC has recently acquired one of the Carolinas’ most highly regarded pain management practices, Advanced Medical Group (AMG)Patients in the Pinehurst, NC, area who are suffering from acute or chronic pain conditions can continue to enjoy quality, patient-centered solutions from their AMG providers while enjoying the added benefit of insights and collaboration with other advanced pain management specialists in the NSPC network.

This new partnership will see Dr. Kuzma reunited with NSPC’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Peter Staats, under whom he trained while pursuing his Pain Medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. Prior to moving to North Carolina, Dr. Kuzma served at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC as the Chief of Pain medicine. He is assisted in the office by Andrea Burns PA-C and Phillip Perrotta MS, PA-C.

“Dr. Staats is perhaps the preeminent pain management physician in the country and is working to assure the highest quality and most innovative care is available to all NSPC patients,” said Dr. Kuzma. “Phil, Andrea and I have worked tirelessly to develop AMG into one of the finest practices in the state of North Carolina and we are thrilled to have NSPC’s expert management and organizational skills while allowing us to maintain the small-town, patient-focused approach that our patients deserve.”

The physicians of NSPC average 14 years of interventional pain management experience and hold advanced degrees and board certifications in numerous specialties, including pain management, anesthesiology and rehabilitative medicine. Using state-of-the-art technologies in fully equipped office suites, they perform interventional procedures such as epidural nerve injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency nerve ablations and spinal cord stimulation, to name just a few.
