About
Primary Specialty:
Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine (Board Certified)
Daniel Gotlib, DO joined National Spine & Pain Centers’ (NSPC) network of practices in October 2023, after completing his medical training the summer beforehand. Preceding his time with NSPC, he finished a Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, as well as an Anesthesiology residency at Case Western Reserve University. Prior to that, he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) at the University of North Texas, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine and his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at the University of Texas at Austin.
For Dr. Gotlib, the field of pain management is challenging but extremely rewarding. “The treatments I provide are life-changing for many patients who suffer with chronic pain,” he said. “I strive to create genuine interactions and strong relationships with all my patients.”
Treatment-wise, Dr. Gotlib is notably excited about Radiofrequency Neurotomy for lumbar, SI Joint and knee pain. He firmly believes that pain is a complex process which requires a comprehensive multimodal approach. Particularly, this includes a combination of interventions, medications, medical devices and therapy modalities. His focus involves creating an individualized treatment plan for each and every patient to obtain the most optimal results.
When it comes to patient-centered care, Dr. Gotlib believes that each patient should be a self-advocate for their own health. “As a physician, it is my duty to provide guidance, resources, and treatment options to better assist my patient’s overall health and well-being” he said.
Interacting with patients and seeing their progress is truly rewarding for Dr. Gotlib, especially as he works to further his own skills by providing new and innovative medical treatments to them. Some of these cutting-edge procedures include Vertiflex, Spinal Cord Stimulation and Peripheral Nerve Stimulation. Outside of the office, Dr. Gotlib spends his down time playing guitar, reading, and with family.
As for why he joined NSPC’s network of practices, it’s simply because they offer an enormous support system allowing him to focus his undivided attention on being a physician. “I rest assured that any other support my patient may need from my office will be handled efficiently and professionally”, said Dr. Gotlib.
