Prolotherapy

Testimonial: Knee Pain

Kerry Moore, Piano Tech
I've had a problem with my left knee since I was thirty-four. I tore the ACL in a skiing accident. Reconstruction wasn't done until twelve years latter. During this time I had been very physically active prior to the accident. After the surgery I experienced some improvement, but never quite felt like the knee was anywhere near 100%. Latter as a result of the wear and tear I underwent a OATS procedure. I remained active, still cycling 7000-9000 miles a year. I also continued to ski. Still I had a good deal of pain and the joint felt stressed and loose.

I decided to try prolotherapy as I didn't feel I had anything to lose. I've been very pleased with the results. The strength in my left leg is now much more like what I have in my right. I have had long periods without any pain at all. What little pain I do have is easily tolerated. The joint seems much more normal than it has at any time since my initial injury. I'm cycling hard, with racers fifteen! ears younger than me. I rode 10500 miles this last year with no real problems. I went on a ski trip shortly after my last injections. I was able to ski hard over several days with no problem. I've discontinued the use of anti-inflammatory drugs that I used to take to control my pain and as a result I've noticed that my recovery time is much shorter after a hard workout. Overall I've been very pleased with the results, and would recommend this procedure to anybody with similar problems.
