Prolotherapy
Testimonial: Knee Pain
John D. Moore, Federal Bureaucrat
If you've had Knee Replacement surgery and still have pain, you need to explore prolotherapy. I wandered through the forest of pain management for 3 years with "soft-tissue pain" that orthopedists and even most pain management specialists aren't trained to understand or treat. I ended up dependent on narcotics and had 3 denervations that may not have been necessary. My specific symptoms were an inability to rehabilitate my knee due to repeated "sprains". Just as I would get to the point where I could start serious rehabilitation, I would "sprain" the knee, resulting in pain just like a "sprained ankle." This would require complete rest for 2-5 weeks and back to square one on rehabilitation.
Finally my pain management specialist suggested that my knee ligaments had been stretched by the surgeries and just couldn't hold my joint together under load. Dr. Friedlis agreed to treat my knee although he had never treated anyone with a replaced knee. It has now been 5 months since my series of 4 (multi-site) injections and I have had no recurrences whatsoever. I could have written a similar response after just a month, but I have waited till now so I could be certain of my recovery and able to report objectively. If you are trying to recover an active life, you'll never forgive yourself if you don't try prolotherapy. Feel free to contact me through Dr. Friedlis.
