Prolotherapy

Testimonials: General Pain

Barry Isaacs, Corporate Tax Consultant
Before I began prolotherapy treatments 2 years ago, I suffered from severe joint pain in both elbows (7 years), severe SI joint and low back pain(1-2 years), middle back pain (1 year) and chest pains in the sternum area (18 years). These conditions were severely debilitating rendering me a de facto cripple....Surgery remained an option for some but not all of my conditions.... My marriage suffered as well, given my chronic conditions.

A chance reference to prolotherapy by a friend suggesting I give it a try led me to Dr. Wagner, whom I now see fairly regularly. All the conditions I came to him with are either completely gone or so substantially improved that were I not so fanatically intent on being 100% cured of everything, I could probably stop the treatments now. Though 54 years old and clearly on the 'back nine' of this existence, my whole outlook on life has improved considerably thanks to Dr. Wagner and prolotherapy. Admittedly, the progress was neither immediately evident in every instance nor reflective of constant, linear improvement. But in time, every condition I sought treatment for either was cured or significantly improved.

To make a long story short, after months of Doctors, specialists, epidural blocks, physical therapy, you name it, I was in no better condition than I was after the initial trauma and still in incredible pain...The Prolotherapy that I have received is the only thing that has brought improvement to my condition...The amount of pain that I have to deal with has been reduced by about 75 percent.

The areas of tenderness where Dr. Friedlis concentrates on are either going away or getting smaller and smaller. PROLO WORKS!!!...I cannot thank Dr. Friedlis and CPM enough for how they have helped me. I adjure you to seek their professional assistance if you are dealing with chronic pain!

I was referred to Doctor Wagner by a friend of mine who played football. I had inguinal hernia surgery 9 months prior to my first visit. I was an extremely active person before my surgery, playing basketball and lifting weights six days a week. After my surgery I was unable to do either of these activities because of the pain in my groin. I had been back to my original surgeon multiple times who clamed it was "scar tissue" which could take up to 2 years to fully heal. I had been to several other doctors who also said they could find nothing wrong with me even after looking at cat scans and x-rays. During his initial examination Doctor Wagner determined that my case was very unique and most likely had multiple injuries. We began prolotherapy.

After 3 treatments my condition had improved, the muscles in my groin were much stronger and felt better, but there was still a sharp pain. I greatly respect that Doctor Wagner realized that there was something else causing my pain and referred me to one of the best hernia specialists in the area.

When I had hernia surgery it was "plugged and patched" and at some point after the surgery the plug had partially ripped away and was now loose in my lower groin. I had surgery to remove the plug with the doctor I was referred to. Today was the first day I have been able to play basketball and lift weights in 15 months. Although I ultimately did need to have surgery, I would not have made this achievement without prolotherapy. Doctor Wagner was the only doctor who understood that the pain I was experiencing was not normal and could be fixed. I cannot thank Doctor Wagner and his staff enough for getting me back to this level.
