Ted, a local businessman and exercise enthusiast, had a skiing accident over 10 years ago. As a result of the accident, he required knee surgery to replace his ACL and PCL ligaments. The MCL was also damaged. Chronic knee pain developed over the years along with a progressive instability of the left knee. Physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medications failed to resolve the problem. Eventually, the chronic pain and instability hampered his active lifestyle.
