Suneetha Budampati, MD

Dr. Suneetha Budampati brings years of experience in interventional pain medicine to Capitol Spine & Pain Centers. As the daughter of physicians, she observed her parents dealing with the challenges and rewards of their work, which ultimately influenced her decision to become a doctor.

The importance of functional health and the focus on adding years to life served as the catalyst for Dr. Budampati to enter the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for residency training. After completing her residency, she pursued fellowship training, where she advanced her skills in Interventional Pain Management and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Her expertise includes fluoroscopic- guided spinal injections, percutaneous intradiscal therapies, neurostimulation, radiofrequency neurotomy and percutaneous vertebroplasty. Dr. Budampati is Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She maintains active memberships in the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the International Spine Intervention Society, the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

A strong doctor-patient relationship, a precise understanding of patient expectations and the active inclusion of patients in their own treatment are some of the elements Dr. Budampati finds beneficial in achieving successful treatment results.

During her leisure time, Dr. Budampati enjoys singing Southern Indian Classical songs and spending time with her two young sons. Dr. Budampati can also be found riding the scenic parkways in Virginia on her motorcycle, a hobby she shares with her husband. Dr. Budampati is a fluent multilinguist, speaking Telugu, Hindi and Urdu.
