Maggie Ipsaro, PA-C
Maggie Ipsaro joined Capitol Spine & Pain Centers in 2003 and teams with Dr. Mayo Friedlis to meet the needs of patients who suffer from acute and/or chronic pain.
Maggie honed her interventional and medical skills while working at CSPC and provides a variety of treatments for her patients with dedication and expertise. In addition to the medical management of her patients with acute and chronic pain, she provides trigger point therapy, prolotherapy and intra-articular joint injections, as well as platelet rich plasma therapy.
One of Maggie’s favorite aspects of her job is providing patient education while determining the exact source of their pain.
Maggie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Gannon University in Erie, PA, in 2001, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
Prior to coming to CSPC, she worked at a rehabilitation and pain management practice in Maryland providing medication management and muscle injection therapy. She also worked as a PA in the field of inpatient internal medicine in Baltimore.
Maggie feels fortunate to have been given the opportunity to use her diagnostic and therapeutic skills in Ecuador through Medical Expeditions International in September 2007. There, she used her training in interventional pain management to help people who farm the land by hand and who have a variety of pain problems with little access to modern healthcare.
Maggie is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants.
She is a native of Pennsylvania and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She plays racquetball, softball, and tennis, and enjoys swimming, traveling, and cooking.
