Hwei (Willie) Lin, MD

Dr. Lin began his medical career at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Georgia. First assigned as Assistant Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), he was later promoted to chief of the department, directing both the outpatient PM&R clinic and electrodiagnostics lab. After finishing his military commitment, Dr. Lin spent two years in private practice in Arlington, Virginia before joining Capitol Spine & Pain Centers in 2006.

Dr. Lin's areas of interest include musculoskeletal, sports, and workplace injuries, acute and chronic back, neck, and joint pain, peripheral nervous system disorders, and carpal tunnel syndrome. He is an expert in nerve conduction/electromyography (EMG) studies, which are useful in diagnosing a range of neurologic conditions. He integrates non-surgical treatments, such as medications, therapeutic exercise prescription, and soft tissue injections, into customized treatment plans that help patients relieve pain and maximize function.

During his military service, Dr. Lin completed additional training and certification in medical acupuncture. His skills in this holistic approach offer patients another therapeutic option that may provide effective pain relief and minimize the use of medications.

Dr Lin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He maintains active membership in the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

An avid soccer player who still plays in pick-up games, Dr. Lin also enjoys cooking, aikido, and watching movies.
