Damon Robinson, MD

A native Washingtonian, Dr. Robinson recently returned to the area, joining Capitol Spine & Pain Centers from Harvard's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. While there, he completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine, and then served on staff with the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess.

Dr. Robinson was drawn to pain medicine from the beginning of his medical career. Discovering that pain is the most common complaint among the general population, he saw an underserved need and directed his training toward responding to that need. Having trained in psychiatry, internal medicine, anesthesiology, and pain medicine, Dr. Robinson believes that a multidisciplinary approach is the most successful way to achieve relief. He treats pain in a comprehensive manner, addressing the physical, social, and psychological aspects.

Dr. Robinson specializes in diagnosing and treating acute and chronic pain with advanced, non-surgical techniques. His full range of skills includes fluoroscopic-guided procedures, nerve blocks, joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation and discography, among others.

Dr. Robinson maintains active memberships in the, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, International Spine Interventional Society, American Society of Anesthesiology and the American Medical Association.

When not tackling pain issues, Dr. Robinson enjoys sailing, traveling, and biking. As a private pilot he is often in the cockpit of a Cessna, taking off for a weekend getaway with his wife and daughter.
